The Roseau County Historical Society and Museum maintains the most complete resource library in the county at the Roseau County Historical Museum and Interpretive Center. For obituary and family genealogy information contact the museum at 218-463-1918. RCHS resources are listed below.

Most county information is maintained in hard copies, on microfilm, or on computer. Additional information is recorded as oral histories of the county and its people.

Use of the research center is $5 per time or the cost of a membership (first time members are entitled to 10 free copies).  Staff research is available at $20.00 per hour which includes 10 free copies, shipping/handling charges are extra. There is a minimum charge of $5 (15 minutes). We have access to death, marriage, or birth information at the county courthouse, but do not supply copies of certificates unless available through our research center. The museum does have some birth and death certificates.

We now have the ability to send research via e-mail in a PDF format.
