The
Roseau County Historical Society was
organized in April 1927 with the intent
of collecting, preserving and
disseminating the history of Roseau
County, Minnesota. The Historical
Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit
educational organization. The
organization displays artifacts from the
present and the past that represent the
history of the county as well as hosts
traveling exhibits at the museum. The
Historical Society also has an extensive
research center,

The
Roseau County Historical Society is
funded by a county allocation,
memberships, donations, research, and an
annual fund drive. If you are interested

Plan to
attend the Roseau County Historical
Society Annual Meeting on Saturday,
April 19 at 7:00 pm. Speaker for the
evening will be Paul Knochenmus, former
Roseau County Sheriff will present an
interesting history of some of the
events that took place while he was
sheriff from 1959 to 1986.
